Venezuela may sell U.S. oil refineries

According to the Times, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who has been at odds with the Bush administration and has in recent months moving toward increased petroleum alliances with China, signaled on Tuesday that his government was interested in selling its American oil-refining operations.

Chavez's move to sell more oil to China isn't likely to immediately divert supplies from the United States, but it hints at testing already-strained relations with the Bush administration, the Times said.
